Purchasing a new strap for a watch is like renewing your vows; it makes everything go back to being brand new. Ever since I got this Nato strap for this nautical number that was gifted a few years ago, it feels like I just took them out of their box. This watch has treated well and even though I loved the old worn in strap, I figured this captain America inspired Nato strap would do better with my casual wardrobe. This watch was not unveiled at a Geneva watch convention but does boast of a mean design. Nautica® has been my go-to watch brand ever since I got my first pay cheque, they may not cost a leg and an arm but they will serve you well. I am going to revamp my old watches with some more Nato strap just to relive this feeling of resurrection.photo and written : Allen A. Coleman
I love wearing green, I have said it about a million times on the blog but unfortunately typing it out takes on a whole new level of appreciation for my condition so please bear with me. I saw this tucked tie trend last year but It never really caught on for me till now. I loathe anything that’s too bold; I almost find it desperate, I lean more towards conservative style that’s undeniably chic, like this camouflage effect take on the tucked tie. I love the surprise when people notice I am wearing a tie at all, I feel it’s less showboat and more Allen, right?
About a month ago I picked up this beautiful TM Lewin three button navy suit during one of my thrifting rendezvous.Initially i wrote it off as a bad impulse buy until a liitle inspiration fairy flew my way. The three button cut on this little beauty gave a little room in the shoulder ,but I figured once it was my size it would probably work out if my tailor and the laundry guys had a go at it, I was so dead wrong.
When it comes to pairing blue and brown your granny’s wise words might slip the occasion sometimes but this combo here has consistency for decades . In my opinion bright colors instantly have a masculine aura when paired with natural and dark tone colors .
♣ FLY; EVERY TIME THIS WORD IS USED IN THE DESCRIPTION OF A WELL DRESSED MAN IT NEVER REALLY SITS WELL WITH ME UNLESS THERE IS A FULL OR HALF FRAME SHOT OF A GENTLEMAN FROM THE SUPER FLY 70’S INVOLVED. I HONESTLY DON’T KNOW IF IT’S THE FACIAL BEARD OR THE NON NONCHALANT WAY THIS GENTLEMAN’S SCARF AND VINTAGE SAILOR’S HAT HARMONIOUSLY SYNC, BUT IF YOU ASK ME I’D SAY THIS IS DEFINITELY IN THE FLY ZONE .
AS A DOCTOR HAS HIS OR HER FAVORITE PATIENT SO DOES A STREET STYLE PHOTOGRAPHER TURN EVERY CORNER YEARNING TO RUN INTO THE FEW PICK OF PEOPLE HE LOVES TO SHOOT. WHEN IT COMES ONE OF THE FEW INDIVIDUALS I NEVER GET TIRED OF SEEING IN MY VIEW FINDER IT HAS GOT TO BE BOB NDIMA A.K.A UNCLE BOB. UNCLE BOB IS BY FAR ONE OF BEST DRESSED GENTLEMEN I HAVE BEEN BLESSED TO MEET IN PERSON. ASIDE HIS COMPETENCE WHEN IT COMES TO PUTTING TOGETHER IMMACULATE ENSEMBLES BOB IS HANDS DOWN ONE OF THE COOLEST GENTLEMEN I KNOW.♣
‘’WHEN A LOT OF THOUGHT IS PUT INTO SOMETHING AS SIMPLE AS AN ENSEMBLE, IT IS SAID TO COME OFF EMPTY WITHOUT EMOTION AND REEKS OF PRETENSE, YET EVERY NOW AND THEN I RUN INTO INDIVIDUALS WHO PUT IN JUST THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF THOUGHT TO MAKE THE CLOCK TICK. LIFE IS LONG ENOUGH TO PLAY WITH YOUR CLOTHES ‘’ photo ♣ A. Coleman
Back home and this is how we are getting around on a chill Sunday afternoon. I was taught not to match my shoes with whatever cloth I chose to cover my chest, but on this day my favorite pair of slippers happened to match my latest thrift pick up and since they are in dark hues I figured the ‘’gods’’ wouldn’t need a sacrifice to let me pass . This shirt is actually a jockey pajamas, if you look closely you can spot the pockets on the tail end of the shirt, but I loved the print and the loose feel so much I had to put into main rotation. Finally and happily reunited with my tote bag, this bag has the space to pack almost anything except my chubby niece, it’s the perfect companion for a wardrobe change plus a picnic in a bat cave .
