Courtesy of all the love that’s floating around I decided to share  my favorite left-over from the 5 BRANDS X FWST featuring Bohten the eye wear brand . This look got left out simply because it was less cohesive with the whole direction of the editorial, both concept and style wise, but it’s still my one of my favorites from the shoot.

About a month ago I picked up this beautiful TM Lewin three button navy suit during one of my thrifting rendezvous.Initially i wrote it off as a bad impulse buy until a liitle inspiration fairy flew my way. The three button cut on this little beauty gave a little room in the shoulder ,but I figured once it was my size it would probably work out  if my tailor and the laundry guys had a go at it, I was so dead wrong.

IMG_9763Do not ignore my pose in the first photo, that is what happens when you walk around with Pharell’s ”Happy” stuck in your head. Back to regular schedule, sometimes it feels like my wardrobe will never rotate outside my fixation on blues juxtaposed against calm notes of earthy browns, but hey I thought Pamela was never going to come out of those red swim suits but  she did, so let’s not cross our fingers .

_ARC0446.450x675I am in love with Umit Benan’s fall 2014 menswear collection, and this is not because nothing like its nature has ever graced the catwalk before, but simply because collection possess something most shows do not, style. There are no ground breaking designs or never before seen take on menswear, but it’s nothing short of the purest form of style one can put out for an audience to tap into.

cary grant menswear outfit review

Its throw back Thursday, so it’s only right that we visit one of the iconic photos that started this style craze of mine. I f you do not recognize the gentleman in the photo please be advised; the possibility of us getting through a chocolate éclair over brunch is slimmer than the side view of an anorexic model. Mr. Cary Grant has single handedly jump started a lot of style journeys of men through time, feel free to hold him responsible for making the gray suit synonymous with the word cool, I mean look at him, I bet he woke up like this. His outfit is so basic yet utterly flamboyant, draped in a gray pinstriped suit with a generous lapel size and a hint of earth via his pocket square, every style accolade thrown at this man befits him in every way.

ALLEN COLEMAN STYLISTI know I have said this once but I got to say it again, I absolutely love this linen jacket from john lewis. I find myself wearing it with everything from dress pants to my light wash denim shorts with the sleeves pulled up. The length and button stance scores well for an off the rack suit, the lapels also sit straight rather than curve like other already made suits. Apart from the lapels that break lose when I make sudden movements with my arms this jacket is almost perfect. I have grown to love wrinkles so much I have plans of purchasing more linen jackets in the future. The pink shirt, I have always fancied pink on others but I have never mastered up the courage to score one to work till now. Pink has always been a favorite for British men, unlike them it has taken the rest of us some time to catch on and I am glad I finally did.

hs_hi_navy_1_88818da0-f95a-4196-a0f0-2960801510d7 This hand sewn vegetable suede hi tops from FEIT is just made the list the list of things I may never buy but constantly daydream about crashing a party in a pair. My wardrobe space for sneakers has shrunk over past year but I definitely won’t mind shoving a few brogues in the store room just to make space for these babies. Never a owned a pair of vegetable suede footwear but this beautiful indigo color way makes it really tempting not to consider taking a dive into the suede end. Feit suggest that it’s worn bare footed which I find very interesting, apparently the craftsmanship involved in the production is unique. ‘’The Hand Sewn High is built from start to finish by one master craftsman using a unique construction. Traditionally the Goodyear Construction involves the upper of the shoe being stretched over the last, stitched to a leather strip known as a welt, and the sole stitched to the welt. For this style we have adapted the traditional Goodyear Construction, by attaching the cork foot bed inside the sole unit for extra durability. It is then left on the last for up to ten days where light steam is let into the room, its moisture falling on the shoes. This process allows the humidity to tighten the shoe on the last, ensuring a superior shape and fit. We have used the finest Italian vegetable leathers and suede, using minimal dyes, chemicals and pigments so the hide remains as close as possible to its natural state. The leather breathes as it does in nature. It is non irritant, soft to touch, ages richly over time and is biodegradable. Features a full length leather out sole, and is fitted with a Buffalo leather vegetable tanned foot bed.’’hs_hi_navy_3  hs_hi_navy_4  hs_hi_navy_2

I finally found another way to wear this beautiful two button single breasted jacket from Fiovarante. For weeks I have been I pairing them with the same pale blue shirt and navy pants until this magical injection of gray happened by accident. I am constantly in search of new ways to inject blues and browns in my wardrobe, and by far this here is my favorite. I love the light hues of blue and gray, juxtaposed against this beautiful brown rust jacket this ensemble has won my Wednesday spot ( yes I put together outfits by day and moods, feel free to try it, it makes putting together ensembles for work so easy)
